A Summer at the Lake

There are many things (some bigger than others) I have waited for in my life.

1. Being old enough to have a sleepover party.
2. Getting my ears pierced.
3. Telling my mom I saw my first PG-13 movie with my 4th grade best friend, after-the-fact.
4. Driving at 16!
5. My first kiss
6. Growing out those terrible bangs
7. Getting married
8. Graduating college

and Lastly. Having my first GARDEN!!!

If you have not already heard this summer Mark and I will be living out at Beaker Lake!! About a month ago Mark's Uncle called us up and offered for us to stay in their families 2nd lake house. It is currently on the market to sell and they needed someone to liven up the place and filter out all that dead air. ( If you are interested in buying a lake house...please check it out- taking in all consideration we would then be homeless. Just kidding- there are other places to live!)

We couldn't be more excited for our first "home" and in other words...our first garden!! The moment we made this decision my first thought was..."I am going plant things!" Flowers. Herbs. more flowers. vegetables...the possiblities! I have been doing a lot of research lately on how to plant what, what's good to grow when, as well as stalking most front yard gardens in the neighborhood. So far I have settled on Basil, Chives, Mint, Sesame, and Tomatoes...with a side compose pile. Mmmm yes.

As far as a boat goes. There's not one right now. But we have been talking plans of purchasing a small row/ski boat for simpler pleasures...such as fishing, lounging, and well boating. If anyone knows of a good deal on a boat please let us know! We would also love to have people down this summer to take out on the water. What a fun summer!

This will no doubt be a process of a move and I only have one big fear aside from the one about catching something on fire- all the snakes and their insect friends living all around us!! Eeeek!! I think I will definitely pass on seeing any of them...but something tells me, that's not going to happen. As long as they meet me while I am down hands and knees gardening with GIANT boots and LARGE rubber gloves so I may gently kick or grab them out of my way...I will be FINE!

All this to say we are so thankful for God's provision in our life and every one of His blessings-

Thank you Uncle Clayton and Aunt Gina! We feel so blessed for a home to take care of and enjoy!!
